This role will lead on developing Scope’s ‘case for change’ in relation to energy. Using the insight from our dedicated Disability Energy Support service, this role will help Scope produce and actively share engaging, evidence-based information to assist with energy policy development and insight. Permanent, 35 hours per week Location: Based at Here East, London E15 2GW with working from home some or most of the time The role The role will involve: Spotting trends in the data and translate those into new service and policy ideas. Providing information, statistics, and stories to campaign, policy, comms, partnership, and fundraising colleagues, and work with insight and evaluations team as needed. Identifying gaps in the evidence and develop ideas to improve data collection and broaden our programmes of work. Working closely with the Customer Experience and Service Performance Lead to ensure consistent and compelling use of programme performance, evidence, and insight. Working closely with the Policy Manager (Consumer Affairs) to identify policy solutions and input into relevant consultations and meetings. Ensuring the voice of disabled people is contained within work outputs. About you Previous experience of working within a social change organisation or of supporting a case for change through data. An ability to turn quantitative research and data into insight, and to create compelling briefings and reports. Understanding of policy influencing approaches. Demonstrable experience of working with senior managers across busy directorates. Ability to work collaboratively across departments, leading conversations, meetings, and programmes with a variety of stakeholders including more senior colleagues and leaders. Able to manage workload autonomously and effectively deliver outputs within agreed timeframes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to produce a high standard of content to support cases for change. Confident communicator, able to talk publicly in relation to our performance and impact, and to explain the methods and approaches used in analytical work to a non-expert audience. Strong team working skills. Excellent IT skills (including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams) Ability to be flexible, respond positively to change, work effectively under pressure and to deal with conflicting priorities.
