Contract Talend Developer Full Time

Spectrum IT’s London based client are seeking an experienced Contract Talend Developer to join them on an initial 12 month contract. This role has also been determined OUTSIDE IR35. This is HYBRID working role with 1-2 days required onsite at the London office per week.

Spectrum’s Client are a prominent global technology and safety business that provides leading industry services worldwide, as the Contract Talend Developer you will join a dynamic and growing Professional Services team and play a leading role. The role requires an individual to perform hands-on development of Talend ETL pipelines as well as guiding an existing team of developers in the same task. They will be expected to pass on best practices related to development, architecture and testing of resultant code.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content
• Develop and document Talend ETL pipelines
• ETL design
• Guide existing team of offshore ETL developers

Skills & Experience

• Candidates must have proven and significant experience as an ETL developer
• Recent, and demonstrable, experience of Talend development (required)
• Experience developing enterprise-wide Talend ETL solutions
• Full understanding of Talend suite of products and solutions
• Strong PL/SQL skills
• Database knowledge (SQL Server, Oracle)
• Data migration knowledge & experience
• Development and test of ETL Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) with large data sets.
• Knowledge of Java development is desirable
• Experience working in financial industry would be desirable
