Competitive Intelligence Analyst – Law
A leading international law firm that has a UK base in Central London has a new requirement within their Knowledge and Information function. The objective of the role is to support on pitching, BD and marketing activities of the firm through the provision of broad enquiry led business and industry research and analysis services. The team has capacity to take on someone with some previous experience in a similar role, but equally someone that is at the beginning of their career and has the ability to quickly learn in the role.
The primary objectives and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
The provision of research across a range of industries, markets, technology and competitors, predominantly in response to requests
Providing a range of outputs such as slide decks, reports, presentations and insight that support pitching, BD, marketing and service development
Utilising a variety of different research resources such as PitchBook Capital IQ, Bloomberg and MegerMarket
Using reporting tools such as Tableau to identify trends, patterns and insight
Act as an evangelist for the function internally to drive engagement and awareness
Producing industry/sector aligned current awareness and managing an agenda of research projects
Suitable candidates will need to have the following experience and skills:
Experience in a similar role and environment would be extremely beneficial, but equally this would suit someone with 12-18 months experience as a researcher
An ability to demonstrate intellectual curiosity and strong business acumen
Experience utilising multiple sources of information and data to draw conclusions, make recommendations and to provide insight
The ability to create impactful presentations, slide decks and to write compelling copy
Experience utilizing online research resources and primary research methods
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
An ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Previous experience in a legal setting would be a distinct advantage, as would a degree in Library or Information Management, but this is not a pre-requisite
