Inspiring Girls is a young and dynamic international charity (headquartered in London) that connects girls at school with amazing women role models to raise their aspirations and future career goals. The charity has grown significantly in both size and profile since its launch in 2016, with an increasing number of operating countries, ongoing global projects and an exciting programme of corporate partnership activities. We are seeking an energetic and creative self-starter who is passionate about our mission to support our HQ team’s core communications objectives both internationally and in support of our new Inspiring Girls UK campaign. The role is varied so the candidate will need to be comfortable multitasking. We would be happy to consider someone at the start of their career with a good grasp of the basic requirements for the role and a strong desire to learn and develop within a supportive small team environment but also welcome applicants with more depth of experience who are ready to hit the ground running! Main duties and responsibilities of the role: Contribute to generating, editing, publishing and sharing content on all Inspiring Girls social media channels Assist the management of content, keeping the team’s output calendar up to date, scheduling content in our social media management tool and importing assets to platforms. Contribute to creative and inspiring idea generation Monitor interactions across Inspiring Girls social media and proactively engaging with supporters to ensure positive experience. Monitoring and fielding incoming queries to the charity and signposting to relevant members of the team Support with the creation and management of Inspiring Girls Video Hub content Assist with the creation of digital assets, such as videos and images, including engaging graphics to bring our brand and campaign messaging to life. Be a confident and proficient communicator, able to develop an appropriate style to speak to our various audiences, including around complex or sensitive issues. Able to communicate sensitively on several issues in a timely manner. Key Skills and Experience: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to use language creatively to convey a message Comfortable working independently within a small team but with a awareness of when to ask for support and/or advice Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and tools Experience of community engagement on social media (in any context) Experience of using Adobe suite tools for video editing Passionate about the aims and values of Inspiring Girls International Desirable but not essential skills and experience: Experience using social media management tools Experience of managing a YouTube channel Experience of working with Squarespace Competent in spoken and written Spanish, French and/or other languages Experience of working in the charity sector Short-listed candidates will be contacted for an initial interview (ideally in person but over Zoom if necessary) during the week beginning 27 March.
