Cloud Solution Architect (AWS/Azure + Kubernetes)

Advantage Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of a globally renowned business in London for a Solution Architect with cloud architecture (AWS/Azure) expertise and strong knowledge in Cloud Identity, Networking, Security, and expertise in assessing application requirements and ensuring that it can be hosted on Cloud.

Your solutions need to be fit for purpose within the portfolio, have technical integrity, the right total cost of ownership through its life cycle and a good fit with the IT technology direction.

Responsibilities include:

1. Azure and AWS certified architect with knowledge in building enabling application team to adopt cloud. This includes strong knowledge in Cloud Identity, Networking, Security, and expertise in assessing application requirements and ensuring that it can be hosted on Cloud.
2. Knowledge on Integrated technologies is desired such as application, databases, APIs, Data and software engineering is required to provide strong consultancy to application teams.
3. The architecture must be well versed with Kubernetes and its related components such as provisioning, code deployment, etc. Working knowledge on AKS & EKS is desired
4. Knowledge on other app hosting services such as Terraform, Vault, Github, for application hosting is required.
5. Provide solution architecture development, consultancy and assurance to projects, making sure applications are well designed and conform to standards and reference/segment architectures. The Solution Architect is accountable to the Project Manager for the architecture of a solution being developed and implemented until the successful deployment of the solution.
6. This includes:
   1. Being the point of call for all architecture aspects of an IT Project.
   2. Being able to address and integrate the: Business Process, Data, Application, Technical and Information Security aspects of an IT Solution.
   3. Ensure projects solution architecture is documented using the templates, System Architect tooling and conforms to standards.
   4. Coach detailed designers and business analysts in projects during their design work.
   5. Reviewing and accepting the detailed design of an IT solution.
   6. Support Segment Architects and reviews through the Architecture Review Board as required.
7. Take an active role in documenting, improving & maintaining the Reference Models and usage patterns in Systems Architect. Lifting project deliverables to the Conceptual and Logical levels.
8. Follow IT Technology developments in the market and leverage this knowledge in architecting solutions. Ensure solutions are ‘future-proof’
9. Stay in touch with development of standards and standard services in IT. To ensure the latest service developments are taken into account.
10. Pro-actively contribute to the development of the Architecture community and be an ambassador for Architecture. Interact with stakeholders on architecture issues and strategic improvements where such expertise is required.
11. Work with Security and compliance team to know the enterprise security standards and ensure that application hosted on platform is conformed to desired standards with relevant documentation.
