Cloud Network Analyst (DevOps, Azure Firewall) Full Time

An accomplished Network Analyst is required for this superb opening to work in our client’s expanding Cloud Engineering team, who are responsible for supporting the ongoing delivery, development, and maintenance of networking services.

The role can be remote working/home based with travel to Birmingham or London as required.

The successful candidate must be able to start in February 2024.

The Cloud Engineering team is an Agile function taking advantage of Infrastructure-as-Code methods (such as Terraform), and the role holder will be expected to have a good understanding of Agile, DevOps, Cloud networking concepts and technologies such as Azure Firewall, Front Door, Virtual Networking and peering as well as other supporting technologies in use such as zScaler.

Reporting to the Network Lead, the role requires someone with good attention to detail who will work closely with the wider architecture, infrastructure, network, IDAM (Identity and Access Management) and security teams to develop and deliver network services as part of the Azure Foundation Platform.

Experience required:

• Technical knowledge and breadth of Azure technology services (Networking, Compute, Storage, Web, Mobile, Containers, Databases, Analytics, AI (Artificial Intelligence) & Machine learning)
• Hands-on experience working with LAN/WAN operations (eg DNS, TCP/IP, Route Tables)
• Experience working with Network Security (eg, Web Application Firewalls, VPN, Front Door, DDoS protection)
• Experience writing and deploying code via CI/CD Pipelines in Azure DevOps using Terraform
• Experience working with hub/spoke architecture designs in Azure
• Exposure and understanding of zero-trust technology such as zScaler ZPA/ZIA
• Experience of supporting and implementing WLAN technologies (such as Cisco Meraki)
• Solid grasp of ITIL (ideally with certification) around Release, Deployment and Change Management
