Children’s Systems Product Manager Full Time

LONDON BOROUGH OF BEXLEY

We are currently looking for someone to take the lead role in managing and developing Bexley’s Children’s systems Teams, encompassing Social Care systems, Early Help and Education systems as well as interfaces to and from these systems.

The Children’s Systems Product Manager will have a small team of direct reports and will be responsible for working with stakeholders across the business with various projects including routine upgrades, maintenance, automation, process improvement and streamlining financial processes.

The Children’s Systems Product Manager will

• Lead the development, implementation, documentation, and administration of the organisation’s Children’s systems.
• Initiate and drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and policies.
• Support users of systems providing specialist knowledge of business systems and processes.
• Support for Ofsted and Statutory returns
• Ensure audit, security and GDPR compliance
• Maintain smooth running of Children’s systems with minimal interruption to the service

  Some of the duties will include:

  • Supported by the Head of ICT, be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the systems roadmap
  • Ensure regular systems upgrades are planned, delivered and the end users trained to use new functionality.
  • Enhance the efficiencies of finance activities, methodologies and environments, working in partnership with IT, Finance and external resource as appropriate
  • Manage timely resolution of system issues
  • Manage the budgets and forecasts for the service
  • Manage 3 rd party contracts and contractors
