Big Data Lead Developer Python/Java/C++/Hadoop

I have a brand new contract role at a tier one investment bank, they are looking for a the Big Data Dev Lead which Involves being part of a dynamic team and contributing towards the development of product rollout, software development and application/data migrations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Big Data and Spark platforms.

The role is to manage and drive the Risk Data initiatives with regards to building world class cross market analytics solutions from data fabric. You will be fronting the Market Risk technology build cross markets that will involve front to back changes in the data flow and requires to work together with both Front Office and Back Office systems to ensure the success of the overall initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the market risk data team and manage the career and expectations.
• Formulate and implement the data strategy in line with global markets data strategy.
• Establish strong relationships with the global business stakeholders and ensure transparency of project deliveries

Experience:

• Experience in Java/C++, Python
• 15+ years developing
• SQL, Hadoop
• Experience in Data technologies including strong database knowledge.
• Strong leadership and management experience of leading large teams.
