Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Java MuleSoft REST API microservices) Remote Contract to £650 p/day . Skilled Java Developer with MuleSoft experience sought by growing FinTech as they expand their UK presence for a six month contract.

As a Backend Software Engineer you’ll join a small, Agile team to deliver a new payments platform, transforming MuleSoft code into modern Java and Kotlin with a focus on backend development within a cloud based microservices environment. There’s a strong pipeline of Greenfield development projects to get stuck into; you’ll be collaboratively problem solving and working on complex systems.

The company can offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home for the term of the contract; please note there will be occasional visits to the London office for team meet-ups and you can also do a hybrid model from the London office if preferred.

Requirements:

You have strong core Java development skills
You have experience with MuleSoft
You have experience with microservices, cloud (AWS or Azure), RESTful APIs
You’re familiar with Kotlin and keen to use it going forward
You’re collaborative, keen to take ownership and lead projects
Ideally you will have some previous experience of working on payments systems
