An outstanding opportunity to join an elite financial services company who has a world class technology set up.

This is a UK or Ireland based Fully Remote. The candidate must be living in the UK or Ireland to be fully eligible to work.

This company has a HQ based in London. They meet up once a month or once every two months for a team lunch- the office is opened for 5 working days and if the Application Support Engineer would like to go in then that’s fine too. But this is a Remote role.

TOP 3 most important soft skills and background:
-Essential to have a Finance background but If they are from a Fintech or some sort of financial services Vendor that will be fine too. The candidate have experience with Cloud!.

-Strong AWS, Python and Cloud experience – THIS IS not a Software Developer role

-Some experience with Databases

-Able to be business facing and proactive

The successful candidate is an astute technical problem solver curious by nature, has a keen concern for the satisfaction of customers, and is enthusiastic and eager to learn and explore new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Acquire a deep understanding of the product technically and functionally
• Have a technical overview of the deployed client architecture and solution
• Own and troubleshoot BAU and technical issues
• Drive technical solutions related to software usage and setup for customers
• Recreate customer issues, coordinate with development and financial engineers to provide resolutions or workarounds
• Support the work of and learn from highly skilled software developers, provide customer feedback and suggestions

Qualifications:

• 3+ years customer support experience for software applications in the financial services industry.
• Experience supporting front and Middle Office users of financial derivative products across asset classes FI/CC/INF/CR/EQ/FX/CMDTY.
• 2+ years exposure to programming in Python, C#/C++, or Java. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and writing SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux Server operating systems with 3+ years supporting software in a Windows Server or Linux environment.
• 2+ years of experience supporting SaaS solutions on AWS cloud. AWS certification a plus
• Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in communicating with customers and software engineers.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills, strong conceptual and analytical skills
• Customer focus and customer satisfaction oriented.
• Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.

All interviews will be conducted via MS Teams and or ZOOM. All interviews will be conducted remotely and no need for any face to face onsite interviews.
